Definition

Score is an attempt to compare projects by multiple parameters. It considers a content size, community greatness and a popularity among readers.

Currently score is defined as:

${\text{S}}_{content}=-\ln (\frac{Article{s}_{proj}}{Article{s}_{max}}*0.5+\frac{Edit{s}_{proj}}{Edit{s}_{max}}*0.5)$,

${\text{S}}_{community}=-\ln (\frac{ActiveUser{s}_{proj}}{ActiveUser{s}_{max}}*0.5+\frac{User{s}_{proj}}{User{s}_{max}}*0.5)$,

${\text{S}}_{views}=-\ln \left(\frac{View{s}_{proj}}{View{s}_{max}}\right)$,

$Article{s}_{proj}$ is a number of articles of the project, $Edit{s}_{proj}$ is a total edit number of the project, $ActiveUser{s}_{proj}$ is a number of active users of the project, $User{s}_{proj}$ is a total user number of the project, $View{s}_{proj}$ is a total views of the project during the last year. $Paramete{r}_{max}$ describes the same parameter of a leading project (usually, English Wikipedia). So, the score calculates a difference between the project and the leading project.

For example, the score of German Wikipedia is calculated as:

${\text{S}}_{views}=-\ln (11,322,307,278/92,170,108,489)=2.10$, so

$\text{Score}=1.19+2.13+2.10=5.42$.
